Induction or hook up a gas line. (You might need to upgrade your electrical for induction so see what you have and if you need to incorporate that into any extra cost.)

Get induction - I just went through this myself. Moved into a place with an electric range when I was used to gas. After doing some research I opted for induction instead of gas and love it so far. I had to upgrade my electrical wiring and breaker which was less than running a gas line.

I would definitely get the induction.

We recently switched from gas to induction of our own volition in a kitchen remodel and LOVE it. We've tolerated cooking on electric in rentals but it's always been a less than fun experience. Totally worth the price upgrade. They don't look like a pro-style gas range though - if your primary concerns is looks not function I guess it doesn't really matter what you do though.

Viking makes a pro style induction range. They perform very well unlike other Viking products. Bertazzoni also makes a pro style induction range but performance and reliability reviews on this forum and others have been really bad.

Forget electric. It's awful. Definitely induction. In fact so many former gas users who have switched actually prefer induction.

Wolf is also coming out with an induction range in October of this year.

I recently went through the same issue of deciding between induction and gas. I had an electric stove that I hated to cook on! I decided to choose gas because I missed cooking on it...I had gas in prior homes. Also, gas is the best choice for Wok stir frying.

Miele has a 30" induction range.

If you can do a range top and a separate oven, Viking has an induction top with knobs. Its advantage (in my mind) is that the hobs are all similar sizes (7", 8" 9") which means you can move pans around without worrying so much.
