The best / only place for a large television - 60" large, is on the wall that the door opens to - center it on the remaining wall past the door swing. Then, you want - two small scale chairs at the fireplace fully upholstered- sofa across from windows, centered on them, and two larger comfortable armchairs - but with open, arms - bergere style would work, but you may opt for husbands favorite leather there . . on the window wall (these will get angled at the television)- perhaps a round coffee table - easy to use but easy to pass. Small round accent tables on the outside of the smaller chairs, possibly a narrow "bench" table between the two larger armchairs. Do use a rug for the grouping of sofa and chairs at the window. Viewing distance for a 60" tv is 12.5'.

The only other place for it - across from the windows, will suffer from glare / closed windows all the time - and it shifts you to a sectional or sofa that blocks the windows and closes the room off .. not my favorite

I think I'd put the TV on the big wall. I don't like the idea of it being by the door.

I do agree, though, that glare will be an issue from the windows. For us, we generally watch TV at night, so not such a problem. But if you watch TV during the day, make sure you invest in room darkening blinds.

I love the tile around the fireplace. Very pretty room.

The main reason for having the tv across from the sofa rather than perpendicular is that you have to keep your head turned. I had this in my last house. You can address the glare by using tinted window film or solar shades. If you put the tv by the door, people will have to walk in front of it. I think the loveseat toward the firplace helps to create separation from the main walkway into the house. Just thoughts to keep in mind....
