Do your cabinets the same as the base of your island. Choose a back splash tile that has the colors in your counter top that has stainless steel blocks or strips in it . This will ty it altogether and give you a pop of contemporary elegance you are looking for. Change the chandelier over the dining table, it is too overpowering, choose something in a polished silver finish in a contemorary style, 3/4 the width of your table.
