I haven't yet; I'm in northern IL. I usually don't see them until mid to late May. When do you normally start seeing them?

I usually start seeing them in Mid to late May. as well But this year, because of the warmer than usual temps, I am cutting my grass almost a whole month earlier. I've seen butterflies almost a month earlier this year as well.

Hmmm, can't say that I've mowed any earlier than usual (we usually start in April) but guess I should put my feeders out now just in case! We have had a few warm spells though night time temps seem to be normal.

Usually my mowing in April is to get the yard cleaned up and the grass is beginning to grow. This past weekend was the second week I've mowed, and the grass really grew in that one week despite not receiving a lot of rain. I also started seeing butterflies in mid April, again earlier than usual. So I figure nature is moving along a couple weeks earlier this year. I only put out a few feeders to see if I attract any hummers, and will put out more when I see more birds.

I've seen them feeding from the wild honeysuckle here, which usually blooms here the first week of May. This year it's two weeks early and actually the bloom dried up in the heat a few days ago. Dogwoods too. So I'm assuming they're out there, but elusive this time of year.

Haven't seen any here in northwest Indiana, just a half hour southeast of Chicago, as of 04/29.
