I have Red Heart. It has the opposite conditions to yours. Morning shade and afternoon sun..... but what I call sun is probably classed as gloom in your region. This is what it looked like 6 years ago. It's still there and huge now.

Yes, it will grow (here at least) in almost total shade under oak trees, but hardly flowers. The more sun, the more flowers.
