Organic but spot spray

I have been doing organic lawn feeding for 4 years now and I love the results. I use a local class a biosolid in spring and fall. I have read a lot of what people say and get lots of advice. I have a problem with chickweed and one other spring weed. If I don't spot spray them it takes over and kills the grass I work so hard to keep nice. Anyone have opinions on spot spraying? Is it really that toxic to spot spray 2 or 3 times in spring with weed b gone? Don't these chemicals break down quickly with active microbes? I know this would not fit most people's definition of organic but I spray or those few weeds kill of large sections of grass. Anyone know how persistent weed b gone chemicals are? I read most herbicides break down quickly with healthy lawns that have lots of microbes
