When we hosted at my house, we have a large kitchen with tons of counterspace and it worked really well for our particular setup, but if you're going to need tables for the buffet, please let me know!

Hi Mayberry! Good idea! We have a lot of counter-space/breakfast bar area too in our kitchen and I think that will work best for food. We won't need the tables; thanks for offering!

Sounds as if our spring swap is going to be somewhat of an "intimate" affair without a need for lots of food, though if all 20 of your neighbors decide to come, FlowerBelle, that might change! Right now we have about 8 or 9 confirmed attendees....

Haven't decide what it will be, but I will certainly bring something - all that seems to be on the list right now is "plasticware", tea and Zach's potato salad, so there are plenty of choices left. :-P

Since I'm coming from close this year maybe I'll attempt a hot side, maybe some baked beans or something similar.

Gosh, still not sure what to bring. If you can think of anything in particular you'd like/need, Flowerbelle, let me know! Otherwise, I'll be deciding at the last minute.

I'm in the same boat as mstywoods. If you need something I can definitely bring it. Otherwise I'll be bringing something gluten-free.

I'll bring a veggie tray and fruit, am thinking watermelon, but will see what I find at the store that looks good. I'm getting excited, it's almost here!

Ok, I'm thinking on making peach crisp (looked like only one dessert so far, so got to have another! ;). And then also some sour cream/cream cheese habanero dip - I'll bring crackers, but it could also be used for treebarb's veggies.

Good morning everyone! So far I have myself + 12 (Mayberry, ZachS, TreeBarb, GJCore, Oakiris, Mystwoods, B2alicia, LizBest, JoJo, Rossnagl, Neighbor1, Neighbor2). We'll have hamburgers, veggieburgers, hotdogs, potato salad, veggie tray, fruit, beans, artichoke dip, habanero dip, brownies, peach crisp, etc. It's going to be a cool 70 degrees, so please bring layers. We'll move inside if the weather is too cold or inclement.

Several of us are either starting or re-doing our flower gardens so it sounds like there's a stron desire for a lot of plants this year! We have a lot of flower plants and I hope we get a lot of veggie plants too this year. It looks like we'll have, depending on hail damage, snapdragons, thyme, coleus, oregano, leeks, Spanish onion seedlings, roses, bell peppers, chicks/hens, basil, peonies, baby Shasta daisies, Campanula poscharskyana, Serbian Campanula, Shasta Daisy, Chrysanthemum maximum 'Becky', Solomon's Seal, Polygonatum odoratum 'Variegatum', Sedum 'Blue Spruce', Sedum pachyclados

Flowerless Lamb's Ear, Stachys 'Helene von Stein (a/k/a "big ears"), Turkish Veronica, Veronica liwanensis, Creeping/spreading Veronica, Veronica 'Waterperry', columbine, and quince, etc.

Hi all, I'm not going to be able to make it after all, so I hope folks see this and someone can bring beverages and plastic utensils! Hope you guys have a blast, I'm so bummed to miss it.

Sorry to hear it, mayberry. We'll miss you! I also want to thank you for the email nudges you've given us to get the swap rolling! Without you and FlowerBelle, we might not have had a swap this spring!
