What a guy! It was a lot of work.
Mentha, the plans had a sort of dry sink, at least it was a lower level to catch the spills. We left it out. I will definitely be using it for a plant stand, but I need to get a big umbrella to keep the sun and rain off.

Good job Jim. I bet it was hard to find good lumber to build that. Most of the time is spent picking out a few good 2 x 4's just to start with. Our lumber here looks like bananas or twisted. Barb, better put two coats of paint on in case of a cold winter. (ha ha). Stupid joke.

We have to wait a few months to paint since he used pressure treated wood. It has to dry out. I am thinking now about adding some sort of awning instead of an umbrella. Any thoughts on what to use, fabric screen cloth, fiberglass?

I would think cloth and fabric screen would get moldy in the rain. I say go with something solid. That's an amateur opinion though.

I love shade cloth, it lets rain in to water plants but blocks much of the sun. It can also be used to insulate and raise the temps in the winter.

An umbrella can be on sale and cost very little and could be closed for storage. Ours last for many years and we wait for a sale to buy a replacement.
