Great pics of the peonies and the clematis. I've been toying with the idea to add 1 or 2 to the garden redo. I'm looking for a red that doesn't flop over when it rains or from the blooms being too heavy. Any suggestions? Redo on hold till the rains pass and we get a couple of sunny days to dry things back out. :(

I will post pics later of Dad, a bright red single. There are others too. Old Faithful is quite sturdy. Yes, after prolonged dryness, we are in a very rainy period.

I checked out Old Faithful which is exactly what I was envisioning but the cost is quite high. Does it really have sturdy stems or will it flop? I like Dad from the google images but haven't found a source yet.

Lovely peonies. I especially like that first one. I have Coral Charm & Coral Sunset too, yous are more mature than mine though. I can see I have something to look forward to.

I'm a big fan of Peonies. Yours are gorgeous as well as the Clematis. What a beautiful spring you're having. I saw the first buds on my biggest peony today. Waiting on the flowers.

mantis: If you had a choice, would you choose Old Faithful or Dad ? I have Coral Sunset which is already budded here. Coral Charm and Coral Sunset look exactly alike in the pics. Would you agree?

Beautiful Peonies & Clematis, love all of them !!! I only have one light Pink Peony (don't know the name) that blooms pretty good now, I can't seem to grow them that good here...

Julia, both have merits, but if I could have just one, I would choose Old Faithful. Old Faithful blooms a few weeks later and is fully double. There are other early bright reds that are appealing.

That is what I'm leaning towards but will keep researching. Thank you for your opinion.
