The Miele includes oven steam injection with a dedicated water line hookup.

We have a Miele induction range and love it. I've used the steam injection feature. many times.

Does everyone like the Miele over Boshch?

As a first time home buyer, I'm probably going with the Bosch - seems like it's good and half the cost of the Miele.

We're also looking for a 30 inch, slide in induction range. I'm basically torn between the Bosch and the Samsung chef series. I love the Miele, but there is no way I can justify spending $10k on range (Canadian).

I can get the Samsung for $2700, or the Bosch for just slightly higher. I like the look of the Samsung more than the Bosch, but don't want to buy it just because its prettier. I've read up on both, and they both have their flaws by the sounds of it. Anyone got a firm recommendation?

I just bought an Electrolux. I liked the hob placement over the Bosch though the other features were similar I think. Some did not have an on/off button for the hobs and didn't have granular enough settings which I thought were negatives. Can't remember if those were issues with the Bosch or not - no on/off might have been. I would not consider paying the price of a Miele especially after being underwhelmed with one of their top of the line dishwashers. I've only had the new range for a couple months but very happy with it so far. I did get a five year extended warranty as I have no confidence in any appliances these days. All brands, even the premium priced ones, seem to have problems. So I kind of like that this range was relatively cheap in the event that it has a short lifespan.

I do not think we yet know if there is a reliable induction range here in USA/Canada. I might suggest GE or for perhaps a better price Sears Kenmore or Frigidaire, which also makes the Kenmore, but only if you can purchase an extended warranty-the longer the better-say 5 years minimum and hope it is renewable. A look on Craigslist just now in my city showed one dead 2014 Samsung for sale at $400., E84 code, one Whirlpool with only 2 cooktop hob/burners working for sale for $300., one ad picturing 3 Samsungs (in great working condition supposedly) for $650. each, why they have 3 I don't know but makes me wary of the Samsungs. These are all 2013 and newer models. The electronic circuit boards are very delicate and 200 or 300 dollar price range. The Miele, we can also hope it will prove reliable, but in Canada until May 19th the only certain no cost of ownership for 10 years is Miele's perfect 10 promotion of a free 10 year warranty, ( or 10% savings), I would take the warranty if I was willing to spend the $9,999.00 Cdn. for the 30 inch induction range.

I have heard some not so great things about the Electrolux and GE ranges, so I will be avoiding both of them. It's either the Samsung or the Bosch, and I'm definitely starting to think the Bosch would be the better choice despite the higher price tag. Either way, I will be negotiating an extended warranty to be included with the purchase.

I cant imagine spending $10,000 on an induction range. The Miele is nice, but that price is just not justifiable.

@ D R Sounds like a reasonable plan, please report back your opinions once you start using your new range. The Bosch being a newer model does not have many real owner usage experience reports here but we would welcome them.

I'll chime in with a negative for Electrolux. We bought the range and it only lasted 4 years before it died. It would have cost over $1600 to fix and our extended warranty ran out the year before.

While it was working, I absolutely LOVED that stove.

My advice? Buy an extended warranty for as long a period as you can no matter what brand you buy.
