It has been raining a lot in the Houston area. The other day I pulled back a flake of hay to get at a rare weed, and there was a HUGE worm! I did not see all of it but it looked almost as thick as my pinkie finger. Definitely a worm not a snake. Hope that this big daddy will sire plenty of kiddie worms that will grow up his size and help make my garden better.

Apparently earthworms are big daddies and big mommas all in one (making the current political bathroom controversy a moot issue for them) but do mate and exchange sperm. Interesting.
