Put them in water to soak. They can soak for several days with no problem. I've soaked them as much as a 10 days just fine. Others have said they have soaked them 3 weeks but I'ver personally not done that. They may arrive with white foliage on them. That is where they've started to break dormancy but had no sunlight for the foliage to be green. Just snap that off, more foliage will come back in the same spot later on. After you plant them keep the potting mix (not garden soil) damp but not wet.

I'm not even going to tell you how long I have had plants soaking. One has a flower bud... :-O
