Wow...my peony is about to explode! So happy!

Anyone else have pics? This is the 4th Spring I've had this peony, and it has had a rough life! We planted it in one spot, moved it a year later due to some landscaping. My dh just stuck it in a pot where it lived for about a year. It has always bloomed about 4 or 5 buds...but since it has been in its new spot for 2 years...it has taken off! And dh just surprised me with another one he planted for me as an early Mother's Day gift! Here is a pic...I apologize that I don't know the proper name for it...I remember the tag said, "Bowls of Beauty" when we got it 4 years ago! :)

Nini, your Peony looks very much like the cultivar Dr. Alexander Fleming.

I don't believe it is Bowl of Beauty, that one has white/pale yellow center, but it is very pretty. Looks like it is going to be full & beautiful soon.

I have one with lots of buds - actually this may be two plants here, one started from a root division.. This photo was last week - it's been raining since. The plant in the background is an azalea that needs to be relocated. Most of the peonies I have are in crowded flower beds. Did I read on here that the roots need space and plants should not be crowded.

It does look like Dr. Fleming now, TulsaRose! But when it opens more, it has that big yellow center like the Bowl of beauty. Wow, I love that list, though...I see so many that I want! I love the big, frilly, pale pink ones the best. So gorgeous!

Nini, that is a gorgeous peony and what a sweet hubby to plant you another peony for Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to you! I know what you mean about moving things around several times. Sometimes it just takes a while to find the "right" spot!
