Depends on if you are using the term "sugar snaps" generically or if you mean the actual variety. The variety, Sugar Snap, can grow to 6 feet. Give or take a foot.

I have them growing on a tall wire cage but string will work also.

Wire? Like a chain linked fence style/pattern of wire?

I grow mine on cheap plastic fence stapled to 2x2 supports.

I use some scrounged masonry wire that has a 4" grid. I saw a great design for cages made out of 4" welded utility panel cut into rectangles and then attached with pig rings. Mine are just round. I have had the cages for years and years.

I grew mine with tomato cages and they reached the top! Around 3 feet tall i'd guess.
