This heuchera is Caramel, right?

I bought this heuchera (the quart size) last night at Home Depot. Really nice specimen. Unfortunately, they don't put on a specific name tag, only a generalized one. I am pretty sure it's "Caramel". What do you think?

It looks like 'caramel' to me. That's funny, though, I bought one last year not knowing really what it was. It survived our winter, and came back strong. It grows in full sun/shade. I'lI put it anywhere and it survives. I have fallen in love with them! I've been collecting them at Lowes & Home Depot for the past several weeks. Love the colors it adds to my front and back porches. This weekend, though, I started having to do some google image searches. I think I've come up with the right names :) But, come on! Put the name to it Home Depot! You might enjoy this video from Volunteer Gardening on Heucheras. They show so many different ones. I've watched it many times just trying to find the ones I have. This is "Alabama Sunrise". I have four on my front porch. Add's a great color.

I have Peppermint, Ginger Snap, SugarBerry, Sweet Tart, Carnival Watermelon, Frost, Rio, Paprika, this new one, Midas Touch and Marmalade. Love them all, they are gorgeous.

I almost bought a Carnival Watermelon this past weekend, but hubby told me to stop :) I am so obsessed with these plants. They are gorgeous!

Esther I am interested in IDing one that I think is Caramel too. Here is mine beside Peach Melba - my best guess has been Caramel.

I just wish that Home Depot had proper I.D. tags on their plants. All they have is a generic label stating it's a heuchera. The leaves are very consistently golden, with small pink flowers. None of the leaves is deep pink, except perhaps on the undersides. My plant looks a lot like this one: DETA-282.jpg

My Caramel has slightly darker leaves than Southern Comfort with less of the yellow tones. :) I will post a picture when I can.

After watching Phoebe's video, I am pretty certain that I have a "Caramel" heuchera. So certain, I am going to have a plant I.D. tag made up for it.

Esther and Barb, Here is my Caramel in early spring, with some new growth and old ones that need to be trimmed off. It looks the same as yours. This is one of my favorite, grows fast and big and symmetrical. The rose color does change into more yellow/greenish during hot summer, but comes back in the fall. I had 4 planted 3 years ago, divided into 8 last year and use them to replace some purple ones. Enjoy your Caramel!

I thought I saw when I was in Home Depot last week, they had non descript tags in the pot that said Heurchera but on the side of the pot was a sticker that said "Heuchera-Caramel" with the bar code for scanning. I remember thinking that was a good idea, less chance for getting switched tags or if it falls out before planting it is still in the pot.
