Is this a weed? If so, what is it?

Hi all,
I thought this was one of my prior plantings, so I let it grow. It grew, and grew, and is now almost 3 feet tall and is putting out yellow flowers I don't recognize. Would someone be able to help with its identification? I've attached a few photos here. The flowers look almost like dandelions and the stem is wide and hollow.
