I go out every morning to take pics of the roses, and every day I just get so disgusted with all the weeds and crap. I just don't seem to have the time to get out there and clean up like I need to. but then, right now every spare moment after work is spent working on that dang chicken coop. We should be done by Sunday!! Can't wait to get the girls outside!

Anyway, I thought I'd do my "Beauty amongst the ruins" thread, seeing as how so many of the pics today have so much crap in the background. Weeds, Bermuda grass, deadheads, Squirrelly-planted oak and walnut trees, dreaded wild blackberries and other unwanted underplantings... LOL

AROMATHERAPY - weeds...

CABANA - grassy weeds...

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN' - weeds and chicken fence....

CHARLOTTE - a few weeds....

CRISTIN CIRA - over-run centranthus ruber

AVE MARIA - weeds, blackberries...

GRIMALDI - backyard junk

HAMBURGER DEERN - weeds, pine needles, weeds growing up thru the pine needles..

HOT COCOA - weeds and pine needles...

Elvi, I got MILVA from Carltons Roses about 12yrs ago. They sold florist rose plants. They went out of business over a decade ago. If you can find it at a florist shop you could try rooting or budding it.

'Cabana' is sure a looker. And 'Reconciliation' is perfect. Gorgeous eye candy.

You got more rain than we did but I think my amazing weed crops are due to the 19 inches.

Your roses look beautiful! I have so many weeds it's beyond crazy!! I just can't keep them at bay in some of my beds!

Beautiful blooms...and with those to look at who looks at weeds beyond them anyway? And I thought the pine needles were attractive mulch!
