Marvin Black Clad - windows came out with the standard marvin black color we ordered.

Love love love this house! I really want to put black windows like these in ours, but I've been advised against it by a couple different window companies now. I'm wondering if you have any input on how these windows worked out for your clients? I've been told the fiberglass windows are not constructed as well as vinyl or wood. And they've told me that painting vinyl or wood would be a lot more maintenance as they'd need to be repainted every few years. Wondering if you know anything more about that or have any recommendations? I love the look of black, and really don't want to go with boring white vinyl windows :-(

I don't know about painting the fiberglass or vinyl since i have not done that. We has been using the marvin black clad and i have used on several homes and have had no issues and maintenance has been nil as they come factory finished by marvin. It is a great look and i'm doing another home with them right now over looking a lake. They look great! And have performed well.
