What zone are you? It should be near maturity unless it's a non-robust variety such as Basjoo. Before maturity, you can judge the health of a banana plant by the presents of progressively larger leaves. The leaves on your plant are about the same size which is not a good sign, but, maybe, all it needs is fertilizer.

After asking around. It looks like the banana tree we had already gave fruits. If that was the case, i'm guessing this one is still young. When I first wanted to care for it, the bark was all crusty and dried. I looked up at youtube and they said the remove that layer. I just kept removing layers and leaves instead of letting it grow. I'm not going to mess around with it and i'll see if it gets any taller.
