Are you removing the kick plate? If not, you should stay with brass.

If that is easy to remove kick plate I will do it, I've been told that brass is out and get rid of it

If you remove the kick plate, you will probably have to repair/touch up and have to paint the door. You could just replace both, which may be easier. Just had the door painted,probably should have done this first. argh..

all metal is brass on storm door too.

I would replace kick plate and handle with either oil rubbed bronze or brushed nickel for an updated look.

I tend to agree with lisakasp on the ORB or BN... you might remove the hardware on the storm door and give it a spray with some rustoleum to match.

It's not going to be a deal breaker on your home selling...
