You answered you own question. You may very well have cooked you plants, Take advantage of the search function and see what your options are. Actually, search first.

First, did you put it on any edible plants? Fresh manure is OK to use 90 days prior to harvest. Second, did you mix it into the soil? If not, remove it the best you can. Then hope you get a lot of rain or water it a lot to dilute it.

Thanks mebefarm. I haven't put in edible plants but was planning to this weekend. No lettuce or root veggies planned for this spot. I really didn't put much fresh manure at all, 1/4" at most. I was just wondering if it might be OK if I mixed it in really well since it's so little. It didn't smell, so I don't even know how fresh it was. I don't know much about chicken poop but it was like chunks of cardboard.

Sounds like there was hardly any fresh manure at all. Till it into the soil well and use a mulch around your plants to keep soil from splashing on them when you water or when it rains.

Thanks guys! I'll till it in well and sounds like it'll probably be OK. I have awful soil that I've been trying very hard to improve before this growing season so I was getting bummed that I might have thwarted my efforts!
