For peonies you really need to dig a dollar hole for 25 cent plant. Have to amend the soil unless it is marvelous. They do not like been wet generally. Which zone you are in?

I have many peonies that flourish but I don't pay attention to remembering hybrid names much so I needed help with ID. I will be correctly planting the surprise replacement. I have no idea how long she kept it in holding after she dug it up, how she kept it or the soil condition so any number of problems could have been the case. I looked up the Kansas and it does look like a good match. Thanks!
