Depending on exactly where you are located it may not get down to the mid 30s. Here in the west metro the trees are all pretty much leafed out, which will make it harder for temps to get down to near freezing at ground level. Plus the ground itself has warmed considerably, as my garden has sprouted beans, squash, basil and volunteer tomato plants. There will also be a lot of moisture in the air, which may help keep us here in the metro around 40f overnight Saturday, or upper 30s at the coldest. Personally I am not too worried about it at all. I am a little frustrated as the garden is in suspended animation right now with the cooler temps. As soon as it warms again, things will explode with growth.

If the community garden is out in the wide open you may want to see if you have a way to hold a few old sheets over them so they don't blow off. I'm thinking at home you'll most likely be safe but I'd throw a sheet out over anything that really doesn't like cold temps. The cold may not kill plants but it can stunt a plants overall growth - I've experienced that a few times over the years.

I've got a lot planted but Not my tomatoes, peppers, cukes and melons. After 35+ years of gardening I've finally learned not to trust a forecast too much. The past few years I just don't think there is any normal weather patterns.
