Soon the flush of midseason herbaceous peonies will be here, but these are still among my early ones (including those at hospital garden I tend).

Boreas just opening

I was overwhelmed today when I saw Prairie Moon. Never have I seen it with such huge glowing flowers. It spots with brown as it ages, but this one afternoon was enough of an impact. The pictures, unfortunately, do not capture the glow of reality (white is hard enough to get without flare).
