This small galley kitchen had to remain the same size due to the budget and the permenent placement of the fireplace. wanted maximum functionality in this space.

Really liked that color green in the original kitchen! However, I do really like the backsplash in the update!

I like the offset tile floor and vertical tile backsplash. Why the need for white cabinets adjacent to the hood? Obscure glass doors would have been cool to give it a lighter look (which the white cabinets begin to do).

Now that's a galley K! While the client may have been on a budget, looks like they didn't skimp on appliances. That's a Wolf range, and what looks like the top-of-line Sub-Zero fridge down by the door. IMHO, they make up the "engine" of the K, and the client invested well there. Who made the cabinets? Nice!

would have liked to see the right-hand side in the Befores as well.

nice to see the lower counter behind the faucet -- opens up the space and makes it feel more airy.

Wow, amazing with so little space that they gave so much of it to oversized appliances! Glad you were able to make everything a bit more sane.

Rosenhaus Design Group, Inc.two reasons for the white cabinetry...1. to keep the kitchen a bit lighter and not close in the space with the continuation of the darker base cabinets and 2. the need for storage...this is truly a very small kitchen yet requires the need for storage.

this shows the kitchen from a different view reflecting the continuation of white from the living room. I think the entire home is about 1,100 sq ft

Inline Design, good observation. the green just presented a business keeping the green. The front door of the residence is a red mirrored in the new side door. with the addition of the cabinetry and backsplash it was just too much.

thanks KOBE Range Hoods, the main reason to change this space was not just to increase the aesthetics but to also increase the storage space to increase the functionality of the kitchen.

White cabinets add another color, which I don't think is needed. Steel frame glass doors would mimic the refrig. Would have loved angled doors to follow the ceiling. See photo.
