How about some pictures of the hose and the fitting you want to thread it on to.

It's either NPT (national pipe thread) or perhaps it's a compression fitting ( the kind with a metal ferrule.

Thanks..... I took some pictures and went to my local plumbing supply store. There happened to be a plumber in front of me in line who had once done a similar installation and he determined that I needed a hose to iron pipe adapter. And indeed, that is what worked.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. It is pretty common to see someone with glazed eyes at the Home Depot when they see the wide variety of fittings with sizes and thread types all over the place, and they are trying to get an adapter to get the hose to work with a fitting.

I hope your not using an iron pipe adapter on that water hose. You need to find a brass fitting or you'll have issues down the road.

Margaret, I've never heard of blockage issues with plumbed steam ovens. I use my cso almost daily. Getting the plumbed model was a decision that I've not regretted.
