Last week I bought a flat of beautiful, healthy "Whopper 'Rose' Bronze Leaf" begonias. I watered them once since getting them home and they've been in a screened-in porch. I had hoped to plant them today, but when I looked at them I saw that about half the plants now have stems so soft they break off at the slightest touch. Also, some of the leaves have died and many more are dying and have a "fuzzy" appearance. What happened to these plants? Can they be salvaged, or should I toss them out and get new ones? I had intended to plant them in deck rail boxes as I've been doing for many years without any problems. Help!!!
