I don't know much about Abe other than that lots of people like him and that he is taller and fuller than Jubilee Celebration. My JC has never been very vigorous--kinda wimpy and short, in fact--even though I've been growing JC for 6-7 years now. My JC blooms put out lovely blooms, but suffers from weak necks--and the blooms don't last very long. However, I think there have been a couple posters on this forum that have had very different experiences with their JCs.

O just got JC last year as a small band so I didn't get much bloom but mine was more apricot than pink.

I wonder if Abe is too vigorous and strong caned to be satisfactory as a tree rose? I would chose Jubilee Celebration.
