I like your white quilt, but maybe get a new duvet for the comforter with some color/pattern, even just a simple embroidered border.

Bed frame is definitely a dated look. I think reupholstering the black leather part in a beige/light gray or blue fabric would look so much better.

Some larger (16x16?) and very full euro pillows and shams in back would look great.

I think it's a very nice guest room and it looks clean, comfortable, and cozy!

Take a look at Ashley Furniture's Porter collection for nightstands. I can't tell what the dresser looks like, but they might look good. You might consider adding a rug under the bed as well. You can generally use a 5' x 8' half under the foot of the bed (I have an example under Island House Master in my design gallery). If you are trying to use neutrals, you might consider adding a patterned monochromatic rug and a duvet with a small print. Try adding a small plant and candle next to the lamp on your nightstand. Make the plant about 2/3 the size of the lamp; make the candle about 1/3 the size of the lamp. This creates a nice pyramid effect. A rod iron wall hanging would look good over the headboard and a large statement piece of art should go to the right (facing) of the bed. I hope some of these tips help.

If the space is as small as it looks, you might try using nesting tables as nightstands. Just remember, nightstands are typically taller than end tables.

I think you should add some euro and decorative pillows! Try to incorporate some color to spruce up the room a bit!
