Space Over Sofa

I’m finding 2 pictures side by side a bit boring… Sure I have a large wall with a vaulted ceiling line, perhaps something bigger would be better.
However, I like the pictures I have, so I got this idea… offsetting the pictures and perhaps using wall ledges to ease the offset.
Your thoughts… Side by Side , Offset or Other?

I agree, offset looks more interesting with the shelves.

Side by side is a cleaner look. The off set version creates almost too much interest and is a distraction. The art should speak for itself and have room to breathe without any extra help.
