Even though they have already started sprouting, I would plant the bulbs at their proper depth. They will continue to develop properly even with the current growth buried. But you appear to have these in a container? You can get away with a shallower planting depth in container growing.

Thanks! yeah, I replanted them into a larger container. All the bulbs are about 4-6 inches below the soil line. Not sure how much the soil will compact but that should be alright.
