My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
It can be nicely designed just by small patio with fire feature, small lawn, raised planter beds with mulch, few lighting and stepping stones. Again Budget is the most imp thing.
The studio/shed was custom built. It is a fairly simple structure, but unfortunately isn't something you can find at your local garden center. The turf is a sod with a standard rye and fescue blend used in the northwest. There are many new varieties of hybrid grasses on the market now that make it a lot easier to choose the right turf for the right lawn. I can assist you further if you want in selecting the right variety for your yard.
If you dont mind, I would like to ask someone to make a shade just like this. Does the wood have a special name ? I will ask someone to make one for me which looks just like that. I am in South Africa. Thank you for the inspiration.
The arbor is cedar. In Oregon, it rains a lot. Cedar is a great option because it does not decompose or break down when it is wet. Juniper is another wood that does extremely well in wet conditions. I'm not sure what you have available in South Africa, but I'm sure your local building supply company can assist you. Best wishes.
