Im setting up a greenhouse in which I will use hydroponics, a recirculating system with rock wool slabs. Yesturday I started building the drip system and now I wonder if i really need the drippers/emitters? Seems to be a potential source for problems with them clogging up? Why not just use the small hose without the dripper instead?

I can see two potential problems, making sure the hose stays in place and too high water flow. Fastening the hoses can be solved and I dont know about the high flow, it shouldnt be a problem? Just run the pumps shorter amount of time?
