Select a brand which is widely known, has a good reputation, and is available from several local resources -- just in case one place stops selling it.

Always obtain the same brand component for any individual project. The potential problem is that 1/4 inch tubing, etc, is NOT the same from one manufacturer to another. Weird but true.
