flooring transition problem

I have a laminate wood floor meeting a stick on type tile evenly. Problem is I have an area where there will be a chair sliding back and forth across both sections so a standard transition (which will leave a bump) will not work. Does anyone have any suggestions? Leaving it alone will not work as it has already developed a chip in the laminate

The edge of the laminate will continue to chip if left exposed. Laminate trims, with a fiber core, are prone to breaking in this situation. Commercial track and insert is best at handling a chair sliding across it. They come in a variety of colors but are plain looking. "Versa-Trim" makes transitions for LVT, an all plastic low profile type of flooring. LVT trims will hold up better and come in many different patterns and styles. Some extra work (shims ?) may be needed to get them to work with laminate.
