Vytex Fortis Windows

Im kind of in the dark when it comes to construction so excuse my ignorance. Started looking at various window contractors over the last month and some looked better than others and each contractor made their pitch to us.

The cheapeast estimate was window world but the reviews seem to be very negative and to be honest, unless im wrong, the window world window looked kind of weak and didnt seem to be as well made as a few others windows we saw?

our latest estimate was from a contractor who was offering vytex windows ( vytex fortis ). The gentleman who came to our home seemed like a straight shooter and explained a lot to us and was helpful. The window did look good with a nice design but what do i know .??.....

we have 14 double hung windows and a casement window which cranks out. He is quoting us triple pane glass with argon gas and a foam filled frame. These are replacement windows.

we live in central new jersey.

the quote was $8500 for all 15 windows. Does this price seem fair and do we really need triple pane glass? Opinion on the vytex fortis window?

you are correct, window world is not a good window.

however, the vytex fortis series is a good window and you seem to have good pricing.

Before you jump on Vytex, I’d recommend taking a look at Okna windows. AGM Windows & Siding is a dealer in New Jersey. Knowledgeable owner, top-notch installation, and great customer service. You’ll appreciate the way they do business.

you will like the vytex a lot. i dont know if you need triple pane but its always a good option. vytex have some good double pane options as well.

Thank you ultra windows ! Agm windows is the company i saw. Evidently they offer both okna and vytex in our area. The gentleman who came, the owner himself, was a real nice guy and a pleasure to deal with.

Not sure how they are doing it for that price, but I would jump all over that deal.

Yes, we feel we are getting very good pricing. He said that triple pane is usually a lot more but due to a promotion he is able to offer it to us at a nice discount. The vytex fortis is a good looking window and seems very well built. From everything we read, its an air tight window.

Being new homeowners, we can use all the help we can get but didnt want to cheap out on quality with the windows since the condo we moved from had the worst windows imaginable.

Not sure how anyone could do a quality triple pane window at that price. The window is fine though. I wouldn't say great, but decent anyway.

The Fortis by vytex is a very good window. That pricing is on the cheap side for a window with 3 panes of glass. Thats at least a $600 window with those specifications.
