If you're a member of one forum, you are automatically a member of the other, but I'm not sure how many people use both. I sometimes hop over to Gardenweb but really, not that often.

Gardenweb covers far more topics than Houzz, which is a home design and decorating site.

Gardenweb is now part of Houzz, but unfortunately it's not integrated with the app. Hence the gardening/landscape questions that show up here which could often be answered with more expertise on Gardenweb.

I was also confused and couldn't navigate to or even find GardenWeb from the app. I installed the app specifically for that reason. On the mobile site it's also hard to navigate through.

Well, now that I know this, I will be uninstalling the app.

Newbie here - navigation is tricky . . . Bummer - not user friendly. Where is gardenweb??!

As for the Gardenweb Forums, neither the mobile nor the desktop website offer an easy way to get there without hunting.

If it wasn't obvious before, it should be (abundantly) by now---Houzz is only interested in selling stuff, not in producing a useful, quality website.

In that case, if you find a product on this site that you like, go to a different site and buy it there. Why support a business that treats you with contempt

Longtimer here: Garden Web was acquired by Houzz 2-3 years ago. GW, prior to acquisition, was a completely non-commercial entity where lots of smart, highly informed people, including some professionals, gave advice -- sometimes highly detailed advice -- and chatted, and knew one another. I don't see those folks here frequently, but some do pop up occasionally. One can still get to GW via http://www.gardenweb.com
