Nice - thanks for posting. My grandmother was named Ramona, and so I have often though it would be a nice way to remember her. I think you've convinced me! Do you trim at all after the first bloom?

Thank you! This is the very first type of clematis I ever grew and it looks like I got very lucky. I haven't cut it back at all yet because I wanted to see if it would take up all of the trellis, but I think I will this year because there are some dead vines in the back. It is a super fast grower so I'm not worried about it filling back in quickly. It really has been hassle free for me, so I would recommend trying it!

Beautiful! I love my Ramona also, sadly it was badly damaged in a hail storm, it was covered with buds and blooming, so I did get to enjoy it for a few weeks. I'm hoping it will rebloom later.

Hi testigo, I am in Zone 5. This is in partial sun, it gets about 4 hours of evening sun. This is right behind my patio, perfect place to just sit and have a cup of coffee and stare at it for a while!

Maximus - Thank you! I planted them in the spring of 2014, so this is their third spring. It's filling in a bit more! Storms are heading my way, so I had to take as many pictures of this as I could!
