Since beardeds are not my forte - I prefer and grow beardless and species iris - do they even come true to form from seed? I know many, if not most, hybrid plants do not.

Recently, I did try pollinating a white bearded iris with a purple bearded iris, but don't know if I will get seeds or not. I have a feeling I won't get any seeds, but will just have to wait and see. It is so hot and dry and windy here, that even pollinating daylilies can be a trial.
