Too late to prune Callicarpa?

10 years ago

I completely forgot to cut back the few callicarpa shrubs I have in my yard. Is there a reason why it would be too late to do so now? There is barely any growth on them yet. I usually cut them back to about 18"or so, and usually much earlier in the season than this.
