Living room set help

I bought this set as a major steal at $250 off Craigslist. It was listed as a Louis Vuitton, but I don't believe so. It looks like Benassi Italia and I have emailed an inquiry to them to verify.

I have a large house with small living rooms. The house was built in 1905. I'm trying to determine what to do with this set. I had intended on making a slipcover for my existing couch in white in an attempt to lighten my living room. Then I found this set.

So, ideas for reupholstery? I was looking at lighter chinoiserie fabrics and I love F. Schumacher's Chiang Mai Dragon fabric. Fix the existing upholstery and sell it? Reupholstery and keep? Do you think this is a Benassi set? There is a "chair and a half," a love seat and the couch is over 100" long.

Thanks!

If the sofas is a well constructed piece, I would suggest reupholstering it as it is beautiful.

It's lovely, but I think it will need more than upholstering and probably need all of the insides (springs, padding, etc) be addressed as well. You may want to look into the costs to redo and if a lot and you find out it is valuable...then you could probably easily sell it and make up the cost to redo - so don't upholster in anything that too is far out there, so you appeal to a wider range of buyers.
