Have you ever engaged in this on a large scale for your garden?

I've been harvesting AC water runoff from the neighbor's AC cooler, but recently the climate has been unfavorable (for the time being) with intermittent heat waves and no rain. The rainy season lasts somewhere between November and May, hardly anything before or after, and the summer is practically dry, though the air is humid.

I'm looking forward to increasing my water supply without depleting local water resources following recent climatic change. This is a fruit garden, after all.

Recent searches show different dew and moisture harvesting techniques, all impractical for the home gardener, for several reasons: The installation may be very bulky, using-up lots of space, active coolers are mechanically challenging and expensive, and dew condensers may use specialty materials not available in the local market. Using nearby AC runoff has proven to be the best, because it relies on available machinery which is used for other purposes, making the system as dual-purpose.
