Unfortunately, the days of someone cutting down your trees and hauling them off in return for the wood are long gone. Get several estimates from tree services your neighbors or friends recommend, which you find on-line, or even cold call from an ad. Make sure they are bonded and insured and have a regular crew. Invite those that do out to give you an estimate. We are just finishing up having six large and 11 small trees cut down, together with 11 mature shrubs. We got 4 estimates after interviewing 6 firms by phone. We actually took the low bid, which was less than half of the highest and are very pleased with the work. We live inside the perimeter in Atlanta and the crew we hired is from Buford.
