What do you mean our style is totally transitional? What do you want for the bathroom? Beachy? Then consider painting the walls a blue/green palate: Palladian Blue or Breath of Fresh Air.

As Brandi said: the art above the commode is too small. There is too much going on around the toilet - remove the candle and stand.

I think the easiest thing would be to change up the paint color, add new art, towels etc. I would remove the candle and stand. Put a big piece of art over the toilet. Maybe find one you like then pick the paint color from it.

Way too much going on. Keep it simple. Why not try to find a beautiful wallpaper, and then you would not need all of the accessories.

I like the 2 larger pieces of art. Use them as the focus of the room and base all other decisions on them. Pick a bright but soft color from the art for the wall color and a brighter color for the towels. Remove the small art, candle, light fixture and trashcan. Replace with a new more contemporary light fixture, light color trashcan and a simple vase with sticks for behind the toilet. No need to over accessorize the bathroom. Good luck with your makeover.

Paint the wall a nice color like a grayish blue or a light aqua. Get rid of the tall candlestick. Put the tall pictures over the toilet and put the little framed things on a small wall or in another room. Add accessories in matte or shiny metal.
