What kind of Maple do I have?

So I live in a 100 year old farm house with gorgeous huge trees in the front yard. Four of them are typical maples, green leaves in spring and summer, a variety of colors in fall. But I have one maple that is different. I know its not a Japanese Maple, it doesn't have the right leaf shape. But it has red leaves with some green on them right now and usually later in the summer they are dark green. They are not the Crimson King variety cause my neighbors have those and my maple is not as dark as theirs. Any clues? I have been stumped. Is there maybe something wrong with this particular maple?

There are a gazillion maples- take a photo of the tree and a leaf and post it to even have a chance at an accurate ID.

Not a reliable indicator- there are a gazillion leaf shapes in JM's. Take a photo of the tree and a leaf and post it- it's really the only way you will get anywhere with this

And- we need to know what part of the world/country/galaxy you are in. It really does help narrow things down.

The leaves were a deeper red earlier this spring. They are already changing to green.

I am in Wisconsin zone 5.

Looks like a Norway maple, Acer platanoides. These are one of the very few large growing maples that have any coloring to the foliage other than green :-) It is not 'Crimson King' but something similar, although likely not a named cultivar.
