I have two MagicStream water features. The "thump" feature is no longer working. They were installed with the pool in 2010. The lights and the water stream are still working, but the "thump" feature stopped working last year.
I think the light enhancer is my problem. One is missing completely and the other is broken.
I found the Pentair 590032 orifice replacement kit. This is the only part I could find that includes the light enhancer. Is the light enhancer available as a standalone part?
My main question is whether the light enhancer is part of the thump feature. I understand that the thumper works by disrupting the stream so that the light reflects off the broken stream. The owner's manual refers to a solenoid thumper. Does this feed the air through the light enhancer or does it interrupt the stream at some other point?
I am hoping that I can just install a new light enhancer or the orifice replacement kit and my thumper will start working again.
Is there something else I would need to do?
Thanks for the help!
