We have a small galley kitchen without a backsplash. Should we go with a full wall tile or a countertop backsplash? I like the looks of the tile backsplash, but my concerns are that it may be overwhelming in such a small kitchen. Two other issues include: 1) our cupboards on both sides of hte sink aren't completely level (one appears to be a few mms higher than the other) and 2) it looks like there are some uneven surfaces on the wall where tiles were pulled off before. Also, I'm not sure what color to do that won't be too busy with our tan (Bamboo Silestone) countertop and Espresso cupboards and whether they should be large or small tiles.
