Thank you. You don't think it reads too brown and muddy do you? The first picture is a bit deceiving because the color does look more brown then it does gray? I've noticed the lighting changes this colour drastically throughout the day which is why I was almost set on just painting it out the lighter colour. However, I like the drama of the darker colour a little better.

I like the darker gray. Only think I'd consider is which direction does your garage door face? If it gets a lot of sun, you door may fade and affect the color quickly.

Yes, it actually gets full sun all day long so that was another concern of mine. However, the colour is a bit deciving in the first photo as the colour is more of a gray brown as oppsed to a charcoal gray like it looks in the first photo. The actual front door image is a better resemblance of what it really looks like, the back fence image is pretty accurate as well? I only wish I could find a colour that actually resemble the darker grayish colour that appears in the first photo.

I would go with the darker one. It has more contrast. The lighter one looks a bit washed out- especially next to the blue garage door.

The darker color complements your neighbors deep blue very well. And if those two colors aren't exactly what you want, take the photos with you and have paint mixed specifically to match what your ideal color would be!

medium toned to darker gray? Or anyone? The one I selected looks ok in
these pictures but by mid-day they have a bit of a green undertone which I'm
not so fond of. Plus, this is actually more of a brown/gray tone as opposed to
a true gray but the picture on the top makes it look completely gray for some
reason.

Darker exterior house colors are all the trend right now and look very contemporary and chic. I say darker for sure. You will love it.

I would go even darker, and not brownish - you are right that your darker color is muddy. You need a dark color to stand up to the clear intense color of the brick. Muted colors don't complement the brick.

Charcoal or black are elegant and very on trend.

know of any nice charcoal colours by Benjamin Moore? I've seen the black on other houses in my area and I have to say I wasn't too fond of it unfortunately. It looked a little too contemporary for my taste. Keep in mind I originally wanted to paint my front door in sage but decided against it because of my neighbours decision to paint his garage door in Royal Blue! I mean it doesn't look bad but it does look like English pop decor, it's too trendy and the front of our house gets full sun all day long...so a dark colour like that will only need painting that much more often and I'm not very fond of painting.

I would use a true gray, i.e. not a gray that has other colors in its formula. The paint store will be able to tell you what goes into it. Should be mostly black and white. Use samples before your commit.

I would paint the garage door to match my neighbors garage door and then a lighter blue for my entrance door, not too light. Make sure you paint the mullion, that white strip down the middle is a real distraction. Paint the mullion no matter what color you decide. If you are dead set against the blue idea you need to go with a brown that is as dark a brown as your neighbors dark blue. Definitely need to keep some cohesion here. Good luck!
