The busy border is nice for hiding the scum line however it is more of a "clean" looking design without it. Non border is currently the "in" style but the borders were used for a reason. Also, liners now have potentially les UV protection since this is one of the more costly components in vinyl manufacturing. This can make hazing at the waterline even more apparent. Just some food for thought.

I think the blue color of your pool is beautiful and looks great with the gray deck and I don' t think blue swimming pools will ever become outdated. A gray liner would most likely create a lighter shade of blue water than what you have now. There are very few discussions on this forum about vinyl liner colors but many discussions regarding colors of gunite/ pebbletec finishes; I would recommend that you research some of those discussions for help with your blue/gray choice....the pros and cons of each color and the current color trends will be helpful and relevant to your choice regardless of the fact that yours is a liner pool.

I love the look of a bright blue pool. So inviting. I would keep it the same color or something similar.
