This is a rather 'futzy' selection known to have some establishment issues. It could be that, some late season cold that nipped the buds, a drainage issue or even some sort of pathogen. Really need to see photos to be much more specific.

It's easiest to see in the middle picture. The bud and stem are whitish.

That is just some tip die back. It is not uncommon with some cultivars and not serious.
